The Language Center of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) in collaboration with English Education Department of UPI and the Indonesian Applied Linguistics Association (ALTI) proudly co-hosted the Tenth International Conference on Applied Linguistics (CONAPLIN 10) and the Second English Language Teaching and Technology Conference (ELT-Tech 2) on from 22 to 23 November 2017. With its theme on “Literacy and Technology in Language Pedagogy and Use”, this conference is expected to serve as a vehicle for language teachers, educators, researchers, policy makers, or even enthusiasts to share their perspectives about and insights on the issue of language, technology, and education for better future practices and studies.

Since the commencement of the first event, the conference has provided an excellent forum for researchers, lecturers, school teachers, and post-graduate students to deliver and share their research and studies related to applied linguistics. In the previous event, we received up to 263 submitted abstracts, and only 175 of them were  accepted to be presented in the conference. The papers included the topics of language teaching, learning and assessment, and other topics in assessment and applied linguistics.

This year we cordially invite researchers and practitioners working in the field of language literacy, language in education, and the application of technology in language teaching and learning to join the conference. We proudly announce that we have invited Professor Dadang Sunendar, the Head of National Language Board, Ministry of Education and Culture, and Professor Robert Chartrand, Kurume University, Japan as keynote speakers.

We hope that the participants will find very fruitful and productive sessions to expand knowledge, broaden network, and positively contribute to the field of applied linguistics. It is a great honor for us to host you CONAPLIN and ELT-Tech 2 in Bandung, Paris van Java, Indonesia.
